Crush & Screen (Mt Wellington) is a specialist hirer of crushing and screening machinery to the quarrying, demolition, recycling and civil sectors, as well as the sales and hire of hydraulic attachments and dust suppression equipment. We have the exclusive New Zealand agency for Italian brand Indeco hydraulic attachments for excavators, and UK brand Screenpod dust cannons. A new role has been created for an experienced, diligent sales person to take responsibility for the attachments/equipment side of the business, representing the range of Indeco and Screenpod brand products.
About the Job:
This new role will be the primary lead for sales and hire of these two quality equipment brands by pro-actively managing and growing existing accounts and developing new business.
You’ll have the freedom to develop new accounts and sales nationwide – with a focus on the North Island – particularly in these sectors:
Demolition & Recycling
You'll start with some existing customers as well as a warm prospect list, then you’ll use your skills to research, identify, develop and win new clients. You’ll be representing a reasonably high-ticket product range so you’ll need to be confident selling at the premium product end of the market and also happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the handover of a 'new piece of kit’. Occasionally you may be required to help to represent our business, brands and products at industry events and be confident to professionally and capably discuss the brands and products in those situations.
A solid understanding and knowledge of heavy machinery, especially excavators, is essential
Mechanically or engineering minded - mechanical or technical experience would be an advantage
Strong industry knowledge of one or more of the quarrying, civil, demolition, or recycling sectors
Proven ability to successfully prospect, qualify and develop new business
An excellent track record of maintaining and growing customer relationships leading to repeat and loyal business
Committed to delivering a responsive and high level of client service with exceptional attention to follow-up
A highly motivated self-starter with an excellent work ethic and confident working with minimal supervision
Can demonstrate effective time-management and self-organisation
Builds great relationships with other operational, onsite, and office-based client staff
Great attention to detail and capable of accurately managing the administrative/documentation side of things
Excellent written and spoken communication and can present quotes and information professionally
Understands and supports Health & Safety practices and policies
Competent with a laptop using Outlook, Excel, Word, etc
Able to travel in NZ with some overnights, and occasional travel to Indeco’s Australian office.

Competitive remuneration package: salary + commission = OTE $110k+, plus vehicle, laptop or tablet, and mobile.
